Holy crap, it's only just dawned on me how much weight I've actually lost. Six inches off both my waist and hips, five off of each thigh, two off of each of my upper arms and only two inches off my boobicles. My BMI was 29.2, and it's now a healthy 24.5. Get iiin. 2st/28lbs/12.7kg of fat cells are no longer wibbling around my middle.

I still have an appallingly bad diet though. 8 biscuits = breakfast and lunch. I know how to eat properly and when I do it, I feel great. But I'm lazy, and I'm such a sugar addict. I ate an entire tin of Quality Street over Christmas instead of healthy meals. Bad bad bad. I really am naughty and I am going to get horrible diseases. SWEETIES SWEETIES GIMME GIMME.

I'm also happy because tomorrow's Monday and I don't have to do the school cleaning ever again!

Well done! What was your approach to losing the weight and how long did it take? I am about to embark on losing a similar amount myself :/

Weeell, I didn't do anything exact, I don't think. I did a calorie-counting thing for a few weeks which helped kick-start it and made me realise how much I was over-eating, then I got bored of that and just stopped munching the massive portions I was eating before. I made sure I didn't take money with me when I went out during the day, 'cause my main problem was as soon as I got a little bit hungry I'd find the nearest Tesco with a bakery and stuff my face! So I now wait till I got home, where I no longer keep any junk food... Also, cleaning for a living has helped a lot, and cereal bars/dried fruit covered in yoghurt for my sweet cravings. :D

Ah, you make it sound so easy! I have an office job which doesn't help but I've recently started working out. Well I did before Christmas, getting started again is difficult! You're an inspiration though, thanks!

I did think I would find it a lot harder actually. I couldn't understand why I was getting so big, then I realised I was comfort eating enough for two people, haha! And as well, getting used to not being full up all the time is hard. Good luck with it all and another tip - make sure you do something you enjoy rather than a boring workout haha.

It's not as bad as it sounds! I really enjoy walking so I was doing a lot of that. It sounds silly to do it in a gym when you could do it outside but I live in the city centre - it's not exactly a picturesque walk and I do most of it on a daily basis. I prefer to go powerwalking on the treadmill and catch up with podcasts or music. I eat pretty well most of the time so we'll see if it sticks... Thanks for the good luck!

Heh, I've done the 8 biscuits for breakfast and lunch thing too. Sometimes I'd just rather have sweeties!

Oh man, I can't go one day without having something sweet, refined and sugary. So bad.

That's excellent, well done!

I really need to sort myself out as I've put on far too much weight, but my willpower is rubbish at the moment.

amazing! I'm starting to realize I need to stop overeating by realizing when I'm full. or eating half of my meal, stopping for a few minutes and go oh, i'm satisfied. i NEED to stop.
