Further to my entry the other day about me thinking I might possibly be all male 'n' shit, I didn't mean that I've suddenly realised that I'm a ftm transexual. I don't actually want to be a man... just thought I'd better clear that up 'cause when I read it back earlier on that's how it read. Haha. Nah. The point was, I don't want to change my gender, I just wish I didn't have one.

So yeah. Thanks for list'nin'. Hmmm.

Aaanyway, if one day I did decide to become a man, I would be an incredibly camp one. Because I can't fucking stop listening to the Scissor Sisters. I mean, it's like a drug. When I go and pick up Seymour I drive past a bunch of kids outside their school/college and I attract some really strange looks. I don't think this is because the music is loud; I think it's because it's always the fucking Scissor Sisters. I can imagine them saying to each other, "Oh, here comes that K9 Capers van again, get ready to get your disco on."

So today I changed it to System and skipped straight to Know and shouted "CURSED EEEARTH!" at people while pulling my best metal!face, just so they wouldn't think I was always that camp. But as soon as I got to the traffic lights I had a yearning to hear Transistor, the bonus track on Ta-Dah - dude, that song is AWESOME - so I put it back in again.

Help. I now want to form a band that's a cross between the Sisters and System. Scissor System. I could, like, sing all camply and play piano and then scream and run around like Daron. For the win.

Here is yet another fanfic rec. This one's by versaphile. I'll stop doing this now 'cause I know most of you readers-of-my-journal couldn't give an arse about reading Doctor Who stories but if you read ANY of the fanfic I've recommended, read this one. It's one of those rare stories that could easily be canon and you really wish it would be. It's so pretty. Fucking. Call me a waaambulance. I r dead from emo.

Aaand I've decided to go travelling when I'm 30. I'm gonna fuck everything off, put my business on hiatus and not come back for over 6 months. I'll have a camper van and a dog and... hopefully about £5k by then. Where shall I go? I want to go everywhere...

even before i saw this entry I posted 43 things on my journal lol. My sister saw the scissor sisters last month or was it the month before?, anyway yea she said it was amazing. I was well pissed that she didn't take me but she said she'd take me next time if the dr said it was ok. I just nicked these pics she took, they aint that good but I just thought you might like them.

it was the MEN arena. She said the support acts were rubbish though. And they took 3 hrs to come on stage.

Are they not just...fucking...INCREDIBLE...like nothing else you've heard (or ever will, maybe--who knows, lol) I'll bore you a little and tell you my Scissor story...my wife--not ME, mind you--got the first record for Christmas in what, not last year, the year before...and I, metalhead, lover of Soundgarden, Opeth, ha! I--I was the one who got into SS...jeez, before you knew it I'm boppin' around the house to this stuff, it's on constantly, driving her crazy...and I don't know, something changed for me, I felt freer, crazier, damn, I was DANCING! I don't DANCE!!! Well I do now, lol...so to find YOU, on the freaking Muse board, with, well, the same illness (may we never recover), well, I was hmm, elated? Overjoyed? Gah--I'm no good at this...I'm glad we've met, what can I say :)))

Go for it Gems...do that trip, it will be just sooooo good--you'll never regret it...and you can GET a band going--not as hard as it might seem--and shit, the mix of Scissor and Down sounds awesome...do it, DO IT!!

Haha, I started listening to the Sisters in 2004 when I heard 'em on the radio... went and got the first album and that was it really! I love your story! I'm the same, I loved my metal, I could dance to metal perfectly fine, but I lacked... a dancey band. The Sisters provided that bit of fun, haha. It's brilliant music. I wish I'd got around to catching them live; I bet it's such a laugh.

I'm very glad we met too! :D I'm always looking for people to gush about music with so it's awesome to have found you in that there Sisters thread! And Scissor System would be hilarious, hahaha...
