Hurrah! It's about time - it's been five days! So I met Alex and Ronnie in the park the other day (the day before I found out I'd got my interview!) and while catching up I told him about my teef beef. "What, another one?" he said. "Not taking the piss or anything but are you gonna end up with false teeth?"

:(

Last night I got a text from Tam saying that she and Dan were out and about and would I like to meet them in the Dinge? I walked down to meet them there and got ID'd again! I think I quite like the fact that I'm in there most weeks and no-one ever remembers me. Haha. The three of us sat up at the bar and proceeded to get rather trollied, and had a bit of a boogie. Night of win, as spontaneous ones usually are. Today I'm cross-stitching (still!) and planning/buying things to make Christmas presents with and listening to pretty Grandaddy songs about flying and space and people and technology and household appliances.

...and.

The Dinge

Last night we went out and ended up arriving at the Dungeon just as it opened. So much for staying at the Station for audible lulz - the Dinge is loud and dancey and I fancied a talky night - but everyone was in the mood for partying. Well, Jeannie was and it was kinda her night anyway, 'cause I had my night out last Saturday, and the last time she had a night out was my sis's wedding in November last year! She was on top form and much joy was had by all. Our joint birthday parties are usually banging. She started as she meant to go on, mixing her drinks, dancing with glowsticks, making people in the garden guess her age and telling them all, "I've got a three-year-old child!" Drunk!Jeannie is brilliantly funny. At one point Jeannie, [livejournal.com profile] sessal and I were on the dancefloor when NIN's Closer came on, so we instantly started dancing OTT 'sexy', as all the girls do. "OMG CLOSER BY NIN!" We shouted, "I'M THE SEXIEST, LOOK AT ME!" and made everyone laugh. We finished up doing the Macarena to it. Goodtimes. People take that song so seriously. DANCING SEXY FOR TRENT IS SRS BSNS.

I was really paying attention to the people down there last night. It hasn't changed in ten years. The 'scene'. There was one guy in a sleeveless t-shirt staring at himself in the mirror, and Mikey and I were watching him all night. In hysterics. There was a girl in the toilets (who had on a simple brown vest top and nice trousers and ballet pumps) shouting, "I don't normally wear this down here, I don't, I had to go out for a meal earlier, that's all, I usually wear neon pink tops and black skirts, honest!" I just wanted to tell her to get over it! Jesus. I've never given a shit about what I wear down there - that's the beauty of the place! You can turn up in trainers and trousers one week, and a smart dress and knee-high boots the next - like I did last night! I was still up there on my own dancing to Rage and I bet some proper 'scene' people were thinking, lol she looks like she's been Gok'd. In the past I'd feel the need to make an effort and we would get what we would laughingly call 'goffed up, innit' but most of the time I used to just wear jeans and t-shirts. Nowadays I dress up nicely but it's not really in a certain style. I experiment and keep it quirky but it's usually something I'd feel comfortable in in either the Dinge or any other pub/club. Well, you all know the sort of thing I wear; nowt particularly 'far out' anymore, thanks Mum. Haha.

Anyway, that's nothing to do with anything.

My favourite Dungeon people are the nerdy metal fans. The ones you can sit down with and start singing along to a song, and they'll say something like, "This song's got to be ten years old by now?" or "I saw them live in 2005." And I'll be all, "ME TOO, AT READING THIS YEAR!" and they'll say, "FUCK YOU, I wanted to go to Reading this year." And we'd start talking about Metallica and someone'd say something about Lars being hilarious and we'll all laugh and then we all guess what year Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe came out (I was right; 1997. I seem to have an odd aptitude for naming years of albums. Years in general, actually...)

Woah, I've been going there for ten years. 17-27 years old. The Dungeon Years. Haha. And all those nights down there merge into one. Last night was yet another night of dancing, drinking and silliness blurred into all the other nights of dancing, drinking and silliness at that godforsaken place. I thought I'd be past it by now. I'm feeling my age, haha. Today I seem to be really tired, but not hungover. I drank a heck of a lot last night but it didn't affect me that much. I swear I just dissolve substances before they have an effect on me. Let's see - I'm not one to boast about my intake of anything (in fact that habit is a pet hate of mine), but I have a point: 2 cans of Carlsberg at home, 3 pints of Carlsberg, 1 bottle of Magners, 1 Archers and lemonade, 2 brandy and cokes, and at one point I had a stolen whisky from someone. Ugh. I was only happily merry. Ain't never right, mush.

Tonight I was meant to go and do a music quiz with Nik and G, but the dogs ate my glasses. I'm furious.

April omg.

1st April
Oooh, bank holiday! Today was lovely, I went to the forest with Dave, Anna, Steve and Leepee and we chilled out and did some kung fu. We ate loads of choccy as well, it being Easter and all. We came home ‘cause Dad cooked us a roast dinner. We munched that and played GTA3 for a while – that game kicks ass – then Dave and Anna came back and we talked about moving out. I played more GTA3 and Dave took Anna home and came back, by which time I was chatting online. I spoke to my friend Spooky for ages, and Charlie and Joe. Work tomorrow, goddamnit.

2nd April
Please let my cheque clear today! Work as usual, in the evening we went to kung fu which is normal for a Tuesday, blatantly, and I cooked some chicken soup pasta, which was weird. I always make too much. Steve and Jezz came over and we watched The Simpsons. The we went to kung fu which was off, then we went to Al’s but he wasn’t in so we came back to mine. We walked to Dave’s and got him. Had a cuppa and went on the computer. Only me and Kate were at home tonight!

3rd April
Work was so goddamn busy today! I had 68 things to do and the phone rand like a bitch! I got my own account on the network at last, I’ve got a work e-mail address! How cool! Yay. Anyway, lunch was disgusting today; I made cheese and cucumber sarnies and they went all soggy. Minging. I got home and Christine came round and we all chatted and I got my photo done so I can send off for my replacement driving license. Excellent. The cheque I sent off can’t be checked because the stupid hole in the wall was out of order. So I’m gonna phone the bank tomorrow. Me, Dave and Tam walked down the Marina tonight. Steve wasn’t about ‘cause he had to help Jase out with something.

4th April
Today was niiice. We had band practice which was a bit annoying because we did a new song, and it took a lot of work and patience. Afterwards Dave came round and we did, erm, nothing. I played all the band’s songs on the bass and I worked out another Rammstein song. Rawkin’. I’ve got a little amp now! Anna leant it to me, bless her. I must remember to say thanks tomorrow when I see her. We’re going to the Dinge! Yay!

5th April
Anna’s friend Billy from Bermuda came to lovely old Southampton today, so we went to the Dinge. I only said “hello” and “goodbye” to him so I don’t have a clue what he’s like. I played pool with Dave and spent the rest the night at the bar downstairs talking to Jeannie ‘cause she was working. We went home early on the last bus to save a bit of cash and we talked about work all the way home. My DVDs had better come tomorrow, because I’ve got nowt to do all day! I’m going to the Nexus in the evening with Jeannie and Tara though, yay!

6th April
My DVDs arrived! Yaaay! So that’s exactly what I did today – watched 10 hours of them! I didn’t go to the Nexus tonight in the end, ‘cause I’ve got this bitchin' tummy ache. I went to the pub with Tamsin for a bit and had some coke which made my tummy a lot worse. We’re gonna go to the Forest tomorrow.

7th April
Today was so much fun! I met Tam and Rich and Steve and we played football at Hill Top, and rounders, and we flew Dad’s stunt kite. We stayed there for house and then went to the Heath for coke and then we went back to mine and made go-karts and drove them down the hill! Haha. I bought Shane’s old rollerblades for £10! Bargain! So I’m gonna skate and tone up my batty. ^_^
