Eastern Adventures
Oct. 17th, 2010 11:09 amI had such a great day yesterday hanging out with
bossmew and her awesome, hardcore Iron Nan in Sittingbourne. We ate Chinese food and laughed a whole lot - most excellent lolz indeed. Tommy the cat was most bemused by me and kept staring with his yellow eyes. 'Who the hell is this I don't even! Reeks of canine!' I decided to drive back late as I have a houseful of dogs at the moment. I had a brief oil emergency on the way home; I thought I was going to have to call my dad to rescue me from the M20. The poor ol' Hundwagen managed to limp another 17 miles down the hard shoulder to Clacket Lane. Out of oil.
Oops. I did check it before I left! I topped up the water and the screen wash! Damn that dipstick. It is impossible to read.
I'm glad of yesterday's mission, because I've been spending a lot of time in lately. This would've been another one of those domestic weekends filled with internets and reading and cooking, probably. Today will be, I think. I made lentil and potato curry the other day and the house still smells of it. Why does it linger so? It'a not a bad smell I guess, I'm just a bit bored of it. I might rinse out the incense sticks. Steve's coming over this evening. I might make some rice pudding.
